Recognizing the benefits of a Santa Margarita Catholic education and the challenge single parent families often face in affording private school tuition, the Alturas Scholarship Award was established by Linda Fisher in 2020.

In this spirit, the Alturas Scholarship Award provides financial assistance to students from single parent homes to make Santa Margarita Catholic a reality for their family, and discover the many gifts SM offers in building self-esteem and personal responsibility, successful interpersonal relationships, commitment to Christian values, and the desire to contribute positively to the local community, our nation, and world.
